Nineteen (19) PETNET volunteers joined this year’s Brigada Eskwela organized by the Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (AFI) last May 19, 2018 at C.P. Sta. Teresa Elementary School in Taguig City.
“Brigada Eskwela plays a central role in the Aboitiz Group’s promise of Advancing Business and Communities (ABC) through the work of the Aboitiz Foundation in co-creating safe, empowered, and sustainable communities,” said Erramon Aboitiz, President and CEO of Aboitiz Equity Ventures (AEV).
This year’s Brigada Eskwela was made more extensive on providing more benefits for the chosen schools as volunteers were not only tasked to do arm chair repainting but also assist on covering books in the school library and plant seedlings that will hopefully bear fruits and vegetables for the school’s feeding program.
AEV’s Brigada Eskwela this year is also a milestone for the institution to be one of the rare occasion for it’s all business units to come together to initiate a corporate social responsibility activity simultaneously into three different schools in Metro Manila and Cebu. Manila-based business units were assigned at C.P. Sta. Teresa Elementary School and Pateros Elementary School both in Taguig City. While, VisMin-based business units conducted their Brigada Eskwela at Talamban Elementary School in Cebu.
Kudos to PETNET Brigada Eskwela 2018 participants for keeping the spirit of volunteerism alive.
